How does the rocking and reclining work?

The lever on the right arm reclines the backrest and holds anywhere you stop; a second lever controls the footrest. The Stop Rock Lock holds the chair completely steady when you would rather sit still, which matters when you are reading or balancing a plate.

What is it made from?

The aluminium frame cannot rust, so the set stays outside all year round with no cover needed. The UV-stabilised HDPE rattan will not go brittle or fade, even on a south-facing patio. Cushions are included; store them away when you are not using the set and they will stay comfortable for years.

How big is it?

Each chair is W78 x D86 x H103cm, and the table is 60 x 60 x 43cm. The set fits comfortably in a 230cm x 90cm footprint, with the table at coffee height (43cm) for drinks, snacks and books.

Why does this rocking reclining rattan bistro set cost £999

Because it's not a basic bistro set. You're paying for dual-action chairs (rocking plus reclining) with the Stop Rock Lock mechanism, built on an aluminium frame that cannot rust. Unlike cheaper steel-frame sets that need replacing after a couple of wet winters, this one is built to last well over 10 years. Delivery included as standard.

Is the table high enough to eat a meal at?

No. The table is 43cm high - coffee-table height. That makes it right for drinks, snacks, and a book while you're reclined, rather than upright dining. If your main goal is eating outside at a standard table height, you'll be better with a dining set.

Can I leave this set outside all year round?

The frame is aluminium, which cannot rust, so it can stay outside through every season with no cover needed. The UV-stabilised HDPE rattan will not go brittle in the sun either. The only part that needs care is the cushions - store them away when you're not using them.

How much space does this bistro set take up?

The overall footprint is roughly 230cm x 90cm. If you're working with a balcony, courtyard, or a narrow strip of patio by bi-fold doors, that's the number to measure out with tape first. In our experience, allowing a clear walkway in front of the chairs makes day-to-day use far more practical.

How much assembly is required?

Hardly any, and no tools at all. The chairs arrive with their rocking mechanisms held by cable ties for transit: snip the ties, slot each backrest into the chair body, and the set is ready to use. Most customers are sitting down within a few minutes of unboxing.

Will the Latte rattan fade in the sun?

The rattan is UV-stabilised HDPE, which will not fade or go brittle in normal UK conditions. PVC rattan - the cheaper alternative - cracks and becomes brittle after a couple of summers in direct sun. HDPE is stabilised against UV at the manufacturing stage, so the Latte colour stays as it is.

Delivery is included in the price, 3-7 working days to mainland UK. Your furniture is delivered on pallets via our courier, and we'll email you a timed delivery window so you're not waiting around all day.

Worth knowing: our courier delivers to the kerbside or driveway, they won't take items around the back of the house, and the pallet and boxes are left with you. If you'd prefer a white-glove delivery with set-up and rubbish taken away, get in touch and we can usually help.

We dispatch from our Leicestershire garden centre. "In stock" means we have it here, ready to send, not drop-shipped from a third-party warehouse.

Returns: if you're not happy, let us know within 7 days and you can return it within 30 days for a refund (minus return delivery costs). The furniture must be in its original condition and packaging, and we'll arrange the collection with you.
