Will six people actually fit and have room to eat?

Yes. Six round a rectangular table gives the head-of-the-table ends for grandparents, room down the middle for serving platters, and three-across-from-three for natural conversation. We chose the rectangular shape for the Sapcote range because customers kept telling us a round 6-seater leaves no centre space for a platter, and a cube set sizes the table around tucking the chairs away rather than around the meal itself.

For fit, allow roughly 3 metres along a wall plus clearance behind each chair for pulling out. Mark that footprint with masking tape before you order if your space is tight, then walk the route past it, that's usually enough to confirm the fit. Between meals, the rectangular shape slides flush against a wall, fence, or bifold doors and frees the patio floor, which a round 6-seater cannot do.

Will the brown suit my garden and paving?

Yes, usually. The brown weave is the warm-tone choice for an established garden palette: red brick, sandstone, York stone, buff porcelain, timber decking, and the kind of mature planting that has been there for years. If your garden is already in that warm direction, this is the colour that works with it rather than introducing a cool grey that fights the existing tone. Is it really all-weather, no cover needed?

Yes. The frame is aluminium, which cannot rust, and we use a 0.2mm powder coating, two to three times thicker than what most aluminium garden furniture carries, so the coating doesn't break down through wet winters and freezing nights. The rattan is hand-woven UV-stabilised synthetic, which won't fade, rot or go brittle when left outside year-round. The 5mm tempered safety glass top doesn't crack in British winters the way ordinary glass can.

This means the structure is fully weatherproof and doesn't need a cover or storage, so it saves you the hassle and the £50 to £100 a cover would cost. In our experience, customers come back ten or fifteen years later saying their rattan is just as good as when they first bought it.

How does this compare to other rectangular 6-seater dining sets at this price?

Can I leave this 6 seater rattan dining set outside all year?

The frame is aluminium, which cannot rust, and the rattan is UV-stabilised HDPE - so the furniture can stay outside all year round with no cover needed. All you need to do is store the cushions away when you're not using them to keep them in good condition.

What's the difference between this and cheaper rattan dining set

The frame material. Many lower-cost sets use steel to keep the price down, and steel rusts from the inside out through joints and bolt holes. This set uses an aluminium frame because it cannot rust, meaning you're not buying into the usual 2–3 season replacement cycle. It is a strong starting point. The aluminium frame cannot rust, so you are not beginning with the most common long-term problem in garden furniture. Is this too big for a terraced garden or a smaller courtyard pat

It depends on your specific space. A 6-seater rectangular set can take over a tight courtyard or narrow terrace once you allow room to pull chairs out. If you have a dedicated patio or decking area, it is a straightforward way to seat six comfortably. Allow roughly 1 metre of clearance on the sides you will use most.

Do the cushions stay outside in the rain?

Store them away when you're not using them - that is all they need. In our experience, cushions last far longer when kept dry between uses, and they are much more comfortable to sit on too. We avoid stiff plastic-coated cushions because they feel clammy and the coating cracks after a couple of summers in UV.

Is the glass top safe?

The table uses 5mm tempered safety glass. If it ever gets damaged, it breaks into small blunt pieces rather than sharp shards - which matters when children or bare feet are around. Tempered glass also handles temperature swings better than standard glass, so a sharp British frost will not crack it.

Will the brown rattan fade in the sun?

The rattan is UV-stabilised HDPE, which is coloured all the way through rather than just coated on the surface. That stops the brown from fading and prevents the weave from cracking or going brittle in direct sunlight. If you're choosing brown specifically for a traditional look, UV stabilisation is what keeps it that way over the years.

How much assembly is required?

Only the table. The chairs arrive fully assembled. The table base is four panels that screw together with two screws per side, then four screws attach the tabletop. All screws are included, and a screwdriver is the only tool you should need.

Delivery is included in the price, 3-7 working days to mainland UK. Your furniture is delivered on pallets via our courier, and we'll email you a timed delivery window so you're not waiting around all day.

Worth knowing: our courier delivers to the kerbside or driveway, they won't take items around the back of the house, and the pallet and boxes are left with you. If you'd prefer a white-glove delivery with set-up and rubbish taken away, get in touch and we can usually help.
