Will six people actually fit and have room to eat?

Yes. Six round a rectangular table gives the head-of-the-table ends for grandparents, room down the middle for serving platters, and three-across-from-three for natural conversation. We chose the rectangular shape for the Sapcote range because customers kept telling us a round 6-seater leaves no centre space for a platter, and a cube set sizes the table around tucking the chairs away rather than around the meal itself.

For fit, allow roughly 3 metres along a wall plus clearance behind each chair for pulling out. Mark that footprint with masking tape before you order if your space is tight, then walk the route past it, that's usually enough to confirm the fit. Between meals, the rectangular shape slides flush against a wall, fence, or bifold doors and frees the patio floor, which a round 6-seater cannot do.

Is it really all-weather, no cover needed?

Yes. The frame is aluminium, which cannot rust, and we use a 0.2mm powder coating, two to three times thicker than what most aluminium garden furniture carries, so the coating doesn't break down through wet winters and freezing nights. The rattan is hand-woven UV-stabilised synthetic, which won't fade, rot or go brittle when left outside year-round. The 5mm tempered safety glass top doesn't crack in British winters the way ordinary glass can.

This means the structure is fully weatherproof and doesn't need a cover or storage, so it saves you the hassle and the £50 to £100 a cover would cost. In our experience, customers come back ten or fifteen years later saying their rattan is just as good as when they first bought it.

Will the grey rattan bleach in the sun?

No. The UV-stabilising compounds are mixed through the synthetic material rather than coated onto the surface, so they don't wear off with rain or rubbing. The chalky bleached look you see on supermarket sets is what PVC rattan does in its second summer; our weave doesn't behave that way.

How does this compare to other rectangular 6-seater dining sets at this price?

Cheaper rectangular 6-seaters at this size use steel frames that rust within a couple of winters and PVC rattan that goes brittle in the sun. You'd be replacing the set sooner and dealing with rust streaks across your paving in the meantime.

Do I need to buy a cover for winter?

No cover needed. If furniture requires a cover to survive winter, it is not truly weatherproof. The aluminium frame cannot rust and the rattan is UV-stabilised, so both can stay outside year-round. Covers are optional for keeping the set clean, but they are not a structural requirement.

What's the difference between this and a lower-priced 6-seater r

The frame material matters most. Lower-priced sets typically use steel under the rattan, and steel rusts from the inside out through joints and bolt holes. This set uses aluminium, which cannot rust. You are also getting UV-stabilised HDPE rattan rather than cheaper PVC that cracks and fades, plus a 5mm tempered safety glass top instead of thin standard glass.

Can I leave this 6-seater rattan dining set outside all year rou

The frame and rattan can stay outside all year round - aluminium cannot rust and the UV-stabilised rattan is made for prolonged sun exposure. We advise storing the cushions when you are not using them, which is normal care and far easier than covering the whole set every time it rains.

Is the glass top safe for family use?

It is 5mm tempered safety glass, which is designed to break into blunt granules rather than sharp shards if it ever gets damaged. Tempered glass also handles temperature swings well, so it copes with frosty mornings and warm afternoons without cracking. A practical choice when children or pets are around the table.

Will the grey rattan fade in the sun?

Grey holds well on this set because the HDPE rattan is UV-stabilised, meaning the colour protection runs through the material. The bleached-out look you see on cheaper sets tends to come from PVC rattan that has not been properly UV-treated - particularly noticeable on south-facing patios after a couple of summers.

How much assembly is required?

Only the table. The chairs arrive fully assembled. The table base is four panels that screw together with two screws per side, then four screws attach the tabletop. All screws are included, and a screwdriver is the only tool you should need.

Delivery is included in the price, 3-7 working days to mainland UK. Your furniture is delivered on pallets via our courier, and we'll email you a timed delivery window so you're not waiting around all day.

Worth knowing: our courier delivers to the kerbside or driveway, they won't take items around the back of the house, and the pallet and boxes are left with you. If you'd prefer a white-glove delivery with set-up and rubbish taken away, get in touch and we can usually help.

Returns: if you're not happy, let us know within 7 days and you can return it within 30 days for a refund (minus return delivery costs). The furniture must be in its original condition and packaging, and we'll arrange the collection with you.
