Does this actually work as one set for both lounging and dining?

Yes. The sofa and armchairs sit at sofa-style depth, with a dining-height table at the centre, so plates and glasses rest on the surface rather than balanced on a chair arm. We designed this set so one piece of furniture replaces two.

In practice, that means morning coffee with feet up and a mug on the table, plates and gravy at Sunday lunch, then drinks back on the same surface in the evening. Can I rearrange the layout if my patio shape is awkward?

Yes. The sections come apart and stand independently, so the layout follows the patio shape rather than clashing. Yes. We use UV-stabilised synthetic rattan, treated so the brown doesn't go chalky or patchy through long summers the way untreated PVC weave does after two or three years. Brown is the variant customers choose when their garden leans traditional rather than contemporary: warm brick, sandstone, weathered timber, or established planting that a grey set would clash against. The warm tone reads softer in the morning and evening light a set like this gets used in, where grey can look hard against red brick on a sunny afternoon.

Is it really all-weather, no cover needed?

Yes. The frame is aluminium, which cannot rust, and we use a 0.2mm powder coating, two to three times thicker than what most aluminium garden furniture carries, so the coating doesn't break down through wet winters and freezing nights. The hand-woven UV-stabilised synthetic rattan won't fade, rot or go brittle when left outside year-round. The 5mm tempered glass on the dining table doesn't crack in British winters the way ordinary glass can.

This means the structure is fully weatherproof and doesn't need protective storage, so it saves you the hassle and the £50 to £100 a cover would cost. Cushions are the one part that needs an evening routine: a deck box on the patio or a shelf indoors keeps them dry between uses. How many people does this set seat?

This is a 6-seater set, built around a 3-seat sofa plus additional armchair seating, with a dining-height table in the middle. Because it's modular, you can spread the seats out or bring them closer together depending on how many people you're expecting.

What’s the difference between this and cheaper rattan lounge din

The big difference is what you can't see at first glance: the frame. This set uses an aluminium frame because it cannot rust, meaning it can live outside all year round. Cheaper sets are often steel-frame, and in our experience steel can start corroding through joints and bolt holes after a couple of wet winters. The rattan matters too - we use HDPE rattan rather than PVC, which cracks and goes brittle in UV.

Can I leave the Sapcote Modular Lounge Dining Set outside all ye

The frame and rattan can stay outside all year round - the aluminium cannot rust and the HDPE rattan is all-weather. Cushions are the exception: we advise storing them indoors or in a storage box when you're not using them. No cover is needed for the frame and rattan themselves.

Is the table top safety glass?

The table top is 5mm tempered safety glass. It handles outdoor temperature swings better than standard glass, and if it ever breaks it crumbles into small blunt pieces rather than sharp shards. It's a detail we always look for when selecting outdoor furniture.

Does brown synthetic rattan fade in the sun?

Very little. We use HDPE rattan, which is UV-stabilised so the colour is locked into the material rather than sitting on the surface. It holds its colour far better than cheaper PVC rattan we see on entry-level sets. Our customers tell us brown is also practical because it hides day-to-day dust and pollen better than lighter colours.

Do I need a cover for winter?

A cover is optional, not essential. The aluminium frame cannot rust and the rattan is all-weather, so the set can stay outside year-round without protection. If you do use a cover, it's purely for convenience - keeping the set clean between uses rather than keeping it alive.

How much assembly is required?

Only the table. The seating arrives fully assembled. The table base is two panels joined by a central bar, with two screws each side of the bar, then four screws attach the tabletop. All screws are included, and a screwdriver is the only tool you should need.

Delivery is included in the price, 3-7 working days to mainland UK. Your furniture is delivered on pallets via our courier, and we'll email you a timed delivery window so you're not waiting around all day.

Worth knowing: our courier delivers to the kerbside or driveway, they won't take items around the back of the house, and the pallet and boxes are left with you. If you'd prefer a white-glove delivery with set-up and rubbish taken away, get in touch and we can usually help.
