Is this set comfortable for long meals?

Yes. Most outdoor dining sets at this size use thin cushions and a flat back, and your posture rounds after twenty minutes with an ache before pudding arrives. We designed this set differently.

We use 10cm cushions (versus the thinner 6-8cm cushions you'll find in cheaper sets) because thicker cushions stay supportive and don't flatten with regular use. Paired with the high-back design that properly supports your back and shoulders, this means you can sit through a 3-hour Sunday lunch without aches or fidgeting.

Is it really all-weather, no cover needed?

Yes. The frame is aluminium, which cannot rust, and we use a 0.2mm powder coating, two to three times thicker than what most aluminium garden furniture carries, for extra protection through wet winters and freezing nights. We also use hand-woven UV-stabilised synthetic rattan, which won't fade, rot or go brittle when left outside year-round. The 5mm tempered safety glass top handles British frosts that crack ordinary glass.

This means the set is fully weatherproof and doesn't need a cover or storage, so it saves you the hassle and the £50-£100 a cover would cost. In our experience, customers come back ten or fifteen years later saying their rattan is just as good as when they first bought it.

Will four people fit comfortably round it?

Yes. Allow roughly 2.5 metres total width for the table and chairs to be pulled out, with a walkway behind each seat. Mark the footprint out with tape on your patio first if you're unsure - that's usually enough to confirm the fit.

With four people around a circular layout, everyone gets the same elbow room and there's no head-of-the-table dynamic, so conversation flows naturally through the meal instead of splitting into two end-of-table pairs.

How does this compare to other round sets at this price?

Cheaper round sets at this size use steel frames that rust within a couple of winters and PVC rattan that goes brittle in the sun. You'd be replacing the set sooner and dealing with rust streaks on your paving in the meantime.

Can I leave this brown rattan dining set outside all year round?

The frame and rattan can stay outside all year round with no cover needed - the aluminium cannot rust and the UV-stabilised HDPE rattan is made for outdoor exposure. We advise storing the cushions when not in use, especially after rain, to keep them in good condition.

What's the difference between this and a cheaper 4 seater rattan

The frame. Cheaper sets often use steel, and we've seen customers come to us after a couple of wet winters with rust coming through around joints and bolt holes. This set uses an aluminium frame that cannot rust, so you're paying for a structure that's good for well over 10 years rather than one you'll be replacing after two or three seasons.

Do I need to buy a cover for this set?

No. The aluminium frame cannot rust and the HDPE rattan is all-weather, so the structure can stay outside all year round. Covers are optional for convenience - keeping leaves and bird mess off - but they're not needed to protect the frame or weave. That saves you £50–£100 compared to sets that need one. Store the cushions away when not in use.

Will the brown rattan fade in the sun?

The rattan is UV-stabilised HDPE, which will not fade or go brittle in sunlight. PVC rattan used on cheaper sets can crack and become brittle after a couple of summers, but HDPE is made for long-term outdoor use.

How much assembly is required?

Only the table. The chairs arrive fully assembled. The table base is four panels that screw together with two screws per side, then four screws attach the tabletop. All screws are included, and a screwdriver is the only tool you should need.

Is the table glass safe?

The tabletop is 5mm tempered safety glass, which handles outdoor temperature swings better than standard glass - far less likely to crack in frost. Tempered glass is also designed to be safer if ever damaged, and it wipes clean after meals.

Delivery is included in the price, 3-7 working days to mainland UK. Your furniture is delivered on pallets via our courier, and we'll email you a timed delivery window so you're not waiting around all day.

Worth knowing: our courier delivers to the kerbside or driveway, they won't take items around the back of the house, and the pallet and boxes are left with you. If you'd prefer a white-glove delivery with set-up and rubbish taken away, get in touch and we can usually help.

We dispatch from our Leicestershire garden centre. "In stock" means we have it here, ready to send, not drop-shipped from a third-party warehouse.

Returns: if you're not happy, let us know within 7 days and you can return it within 30 days for a refund (minus return delivery costs). The furniture must be in its original condition and packaging, and we'll arrange the collection with you.
