Will four people fit comfortably round it?

Yes. The chairs and table together come to about two and a half metres across with the chairs pulled out, so allow roughly that much clear space on the patio. Tape out the chair positions on your slabs first if you're tight on space; that's usually enough to confirm the fit before you order.

With four seats arranged around the round table, everyone gets enough elbow room to cut food, lift a glass, and lean back without bumping each other. That's nice for a Sunday lunch where you want everyone in one conversation, and it works just as well when you'd rather chat in pairs across the table.

Is it really all-weather, no cover needed?

Yes. The frame is aluminium, which cannot rust, and it carries a 0.2mm powder coating, two to three times thicker than most aluminium garden furniture, so the coating doesn't break down through wet winters and freezing nights.

The UV-stabilised rattan won't fade in the sun, won't go brittle in the cold, and won't rot in the wet. The 5mm tempered safety glass top doesn't crack in British winters the way ordinary glass can. Frost overnight followed by sun the next day can shatter a thin tabletop, but not a 5mm tempered one.

You can leave the set outside year-round with no cover and no storage, saving the £50 to £100 a cover would cost. In our experience, customers come back ten or fifteen years later saying the set looks as good as the day they got it.

How does this compare to other round sets at this price?

Is the glass top safe?

The tabletop is 5mm tempered safety glass, which breaks into small blunt pieces rather than dangerous shards if it ever takes a hard impact. It also handles temperature swings better than standard glass - important when you get frost overnight and sun the next day.

If your furniture needs a cover to survive winter, it's not truly weatherproof - it's just outdoor-tolerant. This set uses an aluminium frame that cannot rust and UV-stabilised rattan that handles rain, frost, and sun without degrading. The only thing we recommend storing is the cushions.

How much assembly is required?

Only the table. The chairs arrive fully assembled. The table base is four panels that screw together with two screws per side, then four screws attach the tabletop. All screws are included, and a screwdriver is the only tool you should need.

Can I see this set in person before I buy?

Our showroom at Sapcote Garden Centre in Leicestershire has the range on display - you can sit on the chairs and see the natural rattan colour in person before you decide. Our helpful and knowledgeable staff are here seven days a week, no appointment needed.

Delivery is included in the price, 3-7 working days to mainland UK. Your furniture is delivered on pallets via our courier, and we'll email you a timed delivery window so you're not waiting around all day.

Worth knowing: our courier delivers to the kerbside or driveway, they won't take items around the back of the house, and the pallet and boxes are left with you. If you'd prefer a white-glove delivery with set-up and rubbish taken away, get in touch and we can usually help.
