Is this set comfortable for long meals?

Yes. Most modern low-back outdoor sets have no real back support, so your posture rounds after twenty minutes and you've got an ache before pudding arrives. We designed this set differently.

We use 10cm cushions (versus the thinner 6-8cm cushions you'll find in cheaper sets) because thicker cushions stay supportive and don't flatten with regular use. Paired with the high back that properly supports your back and shoulders, this means you can sit through a 3-hour Sunday lunch without aches or fidgeting.

Is it really all-weather, no cover needed?

Yes. The frame is aluminium, which cannot rust, and we use a 0.2mm powder coating, two to three times thicker than what most aluminium garden furniture carries, for extra protection through wet winters and freezing nights. We also use hand-woven UV-stabilised synthetic rattan, which won't fade, rot or go brittle when left outside year-round.

This means the set is fully weatherproof and doesn't need a cover or storage, so it saves you the hassle and the £50-£100 a cover would cost. In our experience, customers come back ten or fifteen years later saying their rattan is just as good as when they first bought it.

Can I rearrange it when my patio set-up changes?

Yes. The sections come apart, so you can rearrange the layout when the BBQ comes out, when you need to clear a walkway for a gathering, or when family arrangements change. A non-modular set leaves you with far less flexibility.

How does this compare to other corner sets at this price?

Cheaper corner sets at this size use steel frames that rust within a couple of winters and PVC rattan that goes brittle in the sun. You'd be replacing the set sooner and dealing with rust streaks on your paving in the meantime.

Considering a big-name brand at £2,500 or more? You'd be paying mainly for the marketing and the polished website. How does this set actually seat 8 people?

The modular corner sofa sections and additional pieces combine to seat eight comfortably around the dining table. The layout works well because people can shift between an upright eating position and a more relaxed lounge without needing to drag separate chairs out from the kitchen.

Can I leave the Sapcote modular corner dining set outside all ye

The aluminium frame and HDPE rattan are both fully all-weather, so the structure can stay outside all year round with no cover needed. The only part we advise storing is the cushions - they're designed for comfort rather than being left out in rain and damp.

Is this a fixed corner sofa or can I change the layout?

The sections come apart and rearrange. It's a modular corner set, so you can switch between a left-hand or right-hand L-shape, spread pieces out for a gathering, or pull sections together for everyday use. You're not locked into one layout for the life of the set.

What's the difference between this and cheaper rattan corner din

The differences are what you can't see at first glance. The frame is aluminium, which cannot rust - that avoids the steel-frame problem where corrosion starts inside joints and bolt holes. The cushions are 10cm thick rather than the 6–8cm you'll typically find in budget sets, which compress quickly with regular use. And the rattan is HDPE rather than PVC, so it won't crack or go brittle after a couple of summers.

Does the table come with glass?

A 5mm tempered safety glass top comes with the set. Tempered glass handles temperature swings better than standard glass - that matters in the UK when we can go from a warm afternoon to frost overnight. It wipes clean and sits securely on the frame.

Are the cushions waterproof?

No, and we wouldn't want them to be. We advise storing them when not in use. In our experience, waterproof cushions feel clammy, trap heat, and the coating cracks after a couple of summers in UV. We'd rather you have cushions you actually want to sit on, then store them away between uses.

Will the brown rattan fade in the sun?

Very little. The rattan is UV-stabilised HDPE, which is made for outdoor use and holds its colour far better than cheaper PVC weaves. Our customers tell us brown is a good choice if you want a warmer, more natural look alongside timber decking and established planting.

How much assembly is required?

Only the table. The seating arrives fully assembled. The table base is two panels joined by a central bar, with two screws each side of the bar, then four screws attach the tabletop. All screws are included, and a screwdriver is the only tool you should need.

Delivery is included in the price, 3-7 working days to mainland UK. Your furniture is delivered on pallets via our courier, and we'll email you a timed delivery window so you're not waiting around all day.

Worth knowing: our courier delivers to the kerbside or driveway, they won't take items around the back of the house, and the pallet and boxes are left with you. If you'd prefer a white-glove delivery with set-up and rubbish taken away, get in touch and we can usually help.

We dispatch from our Leicestershire garden centre. "In stock" means we have it here, ready to send, not drop-shipped from a third-party warehouse.

Returns: if you're not happy, let us know within 7 days and you can return it within 30 days for a refund (minus return delivery costs). The furniture must be in its original condition and packaging, and we'll arrange the collection with you.
