Does this actually work as one set for both lounging and dining?

Yes. The sofa section and armchairs sit at sofa-style depth around a dining-height table at the centre, so plates and glasses sit on the surface rather than balanced on a chair arm. We designed this set so one piece of furniture replaces two.

In practice, that means morning coffee with feet up and a mug on the table, plates and gravy at Sunday lunch, then drinks back on the same table in the evening. Customers who bought a separate sofa set and a separate dining set in the past tell us the patio got crowded and they ended up using neither properly. One piece of furniture replaces two without taking over the patio.

Can I rearrange the layout if my patio shape is awkward?

Yes. The sections come apart and stand independently, so the layout follows the patio shape rather than clashing. Push everything in around the dining table for Sunday lunch, pull a section clear of a back-door swing when the bi-folds open wide, or separate the sofa from the armchairs for a quieter weekday evening. Fixed-frame corner sofas commit you to one layout on day one, and the garden use changes over a decade.

If your patio is around three metres across, a new-build terrace, or decking running along the back of the house, mark the area out with masking tape first and walk the route past where the set would sit before you order. That's usually enough to confirm the fit.

Is it really all-weather, no cover needed?

Yes. The frame is aluminium, which cannot rust, and we use a 0.2mm powder coating, two to three times thicker than what most aluminium garden furniture carries, so the coating doesn't break down through wet winters and freezing nights. We also use hand-woven UV-stabilised synthetic rattan, which won't fade, rot or go brittle when left outside year-round. The 5mm tempered safety glass on the dining table doesn't crack in British winters the way ordinary glass can.

This means the structure is fully weatherproof and doesn't need a cover or storage, so it saves you the hassle and the £50 to £100 a cover would cost. The cushions are the only piece that asks for an evening routine: drop them inside a garden storage bench or onto a shelf inside to keep them dry between uses. In our experience, customers come back ten or fifteen years later saying their rattan is just as good as when they first bought it.

How does this compare to other modular lounge dining sets at this price?

Cheaper lounge dining sets at this size use steel frames that rust within a couple of winters and PVC rattan that goes brittle in the sun. You'd be replacing the set sooner and dealing with rust streaks on your paving in the meantime.

What's the difference between this and cheaper rattan lounge din

The frame material. Cheaper sets often use steel, which rusts from the inside out through joints and bolt holes. This set uses an aluminium frame that cannot rust, meaning you can leave it outside all year round. You also get UV-stabilised HDPE rattan instead of PVC that cracks after a couple of summers, plus 5mm tempered safety glass on the table.

Do the cushions have to be stored away?

We advise storing them when you're not using the set. Waterproof cushions feel clammy, trap heat, and the coating cracks after a couple of summers in UV - so we focus on comfort instead. All you need to do is keep the cushions somewhere dry between uses. A storage box or bringing them indoors works well.

Is the glass on the table safe for outdoor use?

The table comes with 5mm tempered safety glass, which handles temperature swings better than standard glass. In British weather - where a warm afternoon and a near-freezing night can come within hours of each other - that's the difference between glass that lasts and glass that cracks.

Do you have a showroom where I can see the Sapcote range?

How many people does this set seat?

Six. It's a 6-seater modular lounge dining set, designed so you can lounge or eat outside without needing a second table. If you're furnishing a family patio or you often have a couple of guests over, six seats is the sweet spot we see most often.

Will the grey rattan fade in the sun?

The HDPE rattan is UV-stabilised, meaning the colour is part of the material itself rather than a surface coating. In our experience, the bigger issue with cheaper sets is PVC rattan going brittle and cracking after a couple of summers. We only stock HDPE rattan we're confident putting in UK gardens long term.

How much assembly is required?

Only the table. The seating arrives fully assembled. The table base is two panels joined by a central bar, with two screws each side of the bar, then four screws attach the tabletop. All screws are included, and a screwdriver is the only tool you should need.

Delivery is included in the price, 3-7 working days to mainland UK. Your furniture is delivered on pallets via our courier, and we'll email you a timed delivery window so you're not waiting around all day.

Worth knowing: our courier delivers to the kerbside or driveway, they won't take items around the back of the house, and the pallet and boxes are left with you. If you'd prefer a white-glove delivery with set-up and rubbish taken away, get in touch and we can usually help.

We dispatch from our Leicestershire garden centre. "In stock" means we have it here, ready to send, not drop-shipped from a third-party warehouse.

Returns: if you're not happy, let us know within 7 days and you can return it within 30 days for a refund (minus return delivery costs). The furniture must be in its original condition and packaging, and we'll arrange the collection with you.
