Is this the right format for putting your feet up outside?

Yes. The seating is sofa depth around a low table, so you sink in rather than perch upright at dining height. Your mug or your book sits on the surface at the right level for reaching across with feet still up. We designed this set for the second-living-room use of a patio: morning coffee with the paper, an afternoon read in the sun, or evening drinks for two with the armchairs pulled in.

Is it really all-weather, no cover needed?

Yes. The frame is aluminium, which cannot rust, and we use a 0.2mm powder coating, two to three times thicker than what most aluminium garden furniture carries, so the coating doesn't break down through wet winters and freezing nights. The UV-stabilised synthetic rattan won't fade, rot or go brittle when left outside year-round. The 5mm tempered glass top doesn't crack in British winters the way ordinary glass can.

This means you can leave the structure outside through the whole year, so you're not wrestling a cover on and off every time it rains, and you save the £50 to £100 a cover would cost. In our experience, customers come back ten or fifteen years later saying their rattan is just as good as when they first bought it. Cushions are the only part you'll want to bring in of an evening; a deck box on the patio or a shelf indoors keeps them dry between uses.

Will the brown rattan fade in the sun?

Hardly at all, because the weave is treated against UV. Cheaper PVC weave at the budget end of the lounge-set category dries out, turns chalky, and starts cracking at the weave joints within a couple of summers. UV-stabilised synthetic rattan doesn't fade from the warm brown through sustained sun, year after year.

Brown is a warm tone against red brick, sandstone paving, and timber decking, which is why customers choose it over the grey default when their garden leans traditional rather than contemporary.

How does this compare to other sofa lounge sets at this price?

Are the cushions waterproof?

They're designed for comfort, not to live outside permanently. Waterproof cushions feel clammy, trap heat, and the coating cracks after a couple of summers in UV-so we chose not to use them. Store your cushions indoors or in a storage box when you're not sitting on them, and they'll last years.

Will the brown rattan fade in the sun?

The colour is built into the HDPE rattan itself, not applied as a surface coating that wears off over time. UV-stabilised HDPE holds its colour through prolonged sun exposure, which is what separates it from cheaper PVC rattan that can wash out after a couple of summers.

How much assembly is required?

None at all. Every piece arrives fully assembled, the table included. Unbox it, set it out on the patio, and you're ready.

What's the difference between this and a cheaper 4-seater rattan

Frame material is the biggest difference. Cheaper sets typically use steel underneath the rattan, and steel rusts from the inside out through joints and bolt holes-often before you notice anything on the surface. This set uses an aluminium frame, which cannot rust, meaning you can leave it outside all year round without the same long-term worry.

Can I leave this rattan lounge set outside all year round?

The frame and rattan can stay outside all year round-aluminium cannot rust, and the UV-stabilised HDPE rattan will not fade or go brittle. We advise storing the cushions when you're not using them to keep them at their best, but no cover is needed for the set itself.

Is a cover required for winter?

A cover is optional for keeping the set clean, not for protection. The aluminium frame cannot rust and the rattan is UV-stabilised, so both can stay outside through winter without damage. Store the cushions, and leave the rest where it is.

Delivery is included in the price, 3-7 working days to mainland UK. Your furniture is delivered on pallets via our courier, and we'll email you a timed delivery window so you're not waiting around all day.

Worth knowing: our courier delivers to the kerbside or driveway, they won't take items around the back of the house, and the pallet and boxes are left with you. If you'd prefer a white-glove delivery with set-up and rubbish taken away, get in touch and we can usually help.

Returns: if you're not happy, let us know within 7 days and you can return it within 30 days for a refund (minus return delivery costs). The furniture must be in its original condition and packaging, and we'll arrange the collection with you.
